as far as I can see, you don't make an update, you are creating a new installation with git clone.

An update on my system looks like this

Pull for stable (stable)


cd htdocs 
git pull https://github.com/friendica/friendica.git stable
bin/composer.phar install --no-dev
cd addon
git pull https://github.com/friendica/friendica-addons.git stable

I just updated friendica as you told me it works thanks , but I got some errors .

error: Your local changes to the following files would be overwritten by merge:
I fixed it with the cmd git stash , and after
git pull https://github.com/friendica/friendica.git stable

you are creating a new installation with git clone.

Yes the method I was using was a fresh install of friendica, I did it a few times and had no problems, but the last 2 times I had HTTP Error 500 .

Friendica 'Blutwurz' 2026.04-dev

Hi !Friendica Support , I think I gave the wrong command, I updated friendica to the dev version , I forgot to write --no-dev I noticed that I have the version Friendica 'Blutwurz' 2026.04-dev - 1586

I have to be honest, I feel quite lazy. Can I stay with this version or is it a security issue?

Deny server tags

I have a question , On my instance I have configured to deny a tag nsfw

There is a contact who re-shared a post with this tag, but I find it on the latest posts . How come? Did I do something wrong?

In the end, there were some of my posts where I attached videos.I knew it was not recommended to attach videos in friendica, but I didn't know that it caused this problem. It took me more than a month to figure out this problem .

they were some videos of about 80 Mb, sometimes it loads them and sometimes it doesn't

Problem with second account, automatically switches to primary account

Hi !Friendica Support
I am the admin of my #friendica instance,I registered an additional account . But when I go to switch to my secondary account, it automatically switches back to the primary account .

A few months ago everything was working fine, then suddenly I had this problem, I thought it was an account issue and deleted it. But it always happens to me

What could it be?
