We now have experimental support for the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL and Pixel 10 Pro Fold.

Our initial 2025112500 release for these is available through our web installer or releases page on our staging site:

@Okuna Yes, and you can update from it to future non-experimental releases. Our experimental releases are not stable yet and need fixes or workarounds implemented for multiple upstream memory corruption bugs uncovered by hardware memory tagging and UBSan. We're working on addressing the 3 issues uncovered by those already which will make it a lot more stable.

@overflo Yes, Android 16 QPR1 was pushed to AOSP this month. Our most recent 2 releases were our migration to Android 16 QPR1 which we've shipped across all of the already supported devices. Once we got that into a solid state, we moved on to focusing on Pixel 10 support which is now available in an experimental state. There are 3 upstream memory corruption bugs on the Pixel 10 detected by our exploit protections which have been reported and we need to resolve those to make it more stable.

They could seem to be bots, yes. Not sure what's going on there.

Regarding your e-mail, if you mean what's displayed under your display name (Lunya), that's the nickname you typed in when creating your account. The nickname is your "address" on Friendica, and they have the same form as e-mails do, ie. [email protected]

I got the answer , They are not bots, but it is their instance that by writing some variables in the message, allows this

Regarding for my email I don't mean the one under my nickname
in the first photo where there is the code there is the email, that of the friendica administrator
I don't know if this was a configuration error or what

basically its a dynamic variable that loads the metadata about the federated instance, for @lunya its $INSTANCE$host$, $INSTANCE$softwareName and stuff and for me its {{host}}, {{nodeInfo.software.name}} and stuff

Ah, right! That's quite interesting and not something I was aware of. I originally though that maybe it was pulling the e-mail field that's also shown here at the bottom:
joinfriendica.de/friendica
...but it seems to actually extract the e-mail addresses of whoever has been added as admins on the Moderation -> Users page.

...and I don't see an option to disable it, besides setting a fake address and then not receiving the notification e-mails anymore.
That doesn't seem ideal to me. At least it should be shown that this data is exposed.

If you are referring to Impressum, I had another email there that was not the administrator's one

besides setting a fake address and then not receiving the notification e-mails anymore.

Yes, it doesn't make much sense to enter a fake email, then I no longer receive notifications

That doesn't seem ideal to me. At least it should be shown that this data is exposed.

Right, I didn't know that either. I hope there is a solution to fix this.

It turns out that workaround doesn't actually work, because once you change your e-mail in your profile settings you lose admin privileges as well. I'm thinking that maybe it doesn't actually store admin status anywhere but in that list, so once it doesn't match your e-mail address you're no longer admin.

The workaround of changing the code still works, of course, but it's not really ideal to have to do that.

@Marcus
When I discovered this thing , I tried changing the administrator email address in the Admin section, and found that the email must be the same as the one in the file config/local.config.php

maybe it's used for something else, like when another instance wants to report an account on your instance or something like that?

Maybe it can be as you say.

If I want to search for an instance via API like that guy did, how can I do that?

Here's another French journalist participating in fearmongering about GrapheneOS. That article is not measured. It provided a platform to make both unsubstantiated and provably false claims about GrapheneOS while providing no opportunity to see and respond to those claims.

@lexinova @[email protected] @Fritange We plan to provide onion services and a way to enable using those for OS services such as OS updates but need to plan it out properly for both the client and server side. We need to be careful about how we integrate it. We also don't really want to heavily encourage sending traffic to the public internet via Tor through exit nodes because there are major tradeoffs with that people need to consider. Tor onion services are better and we can provide those.

Are you in #tech and running your own #Fediverse instance? You might want to join an Activity Pub relay instance!

My relay at fedi-relay.gyptazy.com has currently 139 instances connected, mostly tech related sharing the same mindset and interests like #Linux, #BSD, #Ansible, #Proxmox, #Coding, and many more! You can easily join from your instance when using #Pleroma, #snac (#snac2), #Mastodon and its forks 🙂

Super happy with how clean this disk shelf build turned out. And how easy it was! :neocat_aww:

Minisforum MS-01 with external SAS card connected to a disk shelf I built using just a free ATX power supply tester, a SAS adapter, and some drives.

Have been able to retire my power hungry AMD 3400G board and make better use of the 20-core MS-01 this way.

Rendila speciale.

Proxmox 9.1 adds support for OCI containers.
That means you can now run Docker-style workloads inside Proxmox using LXC.
I tested it, showed how it works, and covered the current limitations.

Giorno #26

Thanks for the report. The reported errors will not slow down your system, so the speed issues are caused by something else. Mostly the database is to blame in such cases. Please enable the slow query log in your SQL server and have a look there. Also check if your database setup uses enough memory. Tools like mysqltuner.pl can help here, but you shouldn't blindly follow their suggestions.

Concerning the reported errors: The first one is solved in the current release candidate. The second one shouldn't occur anymore, but I will create a pull request for this anyway. Is it possible for you to switch to the release candidate?
