Why would I mention a forum with an exclamation mark?
I am always a little confused that when opening posts in a forum view, they are mentioned with an exclamation mark rather than an @.
Can someone explain to me why I should use that exclamation mark? When interacting with Lemmy communities, I always use the @ and don't see any difference in function, which is why I wonder why the ! mention exists at all.

It is recommended to use
! when targetting groups to avoid that your posts are being send to all your followers (and possibly to the connected networks).Anomaly likes this.

So I tried to share this in a danish group, targeting it with !, but I wanted to tag "Friendica Support" as well, so people could easily click it to go there, but evidently that shared it with Friendica Support as well. :D I guess I should've used a link instead of tag.
I could delete this but maybe this is also helpful information to others.
