Joplin is a little short on planning tools.

Planning usually starts by checking the calendar. But there's no built-in calendar app, and until very recently there weren't even prospective plugins for that.

I've been using the Inline Tag Navigator. If you set up the date format as a tag, then you can get a list of tasks that are coming up sorted by date. And then you can turn those tasks into your daily tasks.
